    Te’Yah Wright, one of our 2019 Doris Duke Conservation Scholars at U of M, was featured by her school as the first student from Alcorn State University to be accepted to a Doris Duke Conservation Scholars Program. ‘”It’s really amazing,” said Te’Yah. “I  never thought in a million years that I would be able to say ‘I’m the first from Alcorn.’ This is a huge accomplishment.”‘ In this piece, Te’Yah talks about her journey thus far and advises her peers to “always put forth their best effort in order to achieve academic success.” Click here to read Te’Yah’s full feature.
