Portia Bharath, one of our 2019 Doris Duke Conservation Scholars at U of M, reflects on her summer research as a DDCSP U of M scholar for Towson University’s student-run news outlet. In her article, Portia outlines the four green behaviors she evaluated this past summer and encourages others to implement them into their day-to-day lives. She “want[s] people to understand that small habits (or even one habit!) can have a significant effect on their personal carbon footprint, and to encourage people to make manageable changes to their everyday routines that will decrease their negative influence on the environment.” Click here to read about Portia’s list of green behaviors.
