The DDCSP YSE Peer Mentor Program provides an opportunity for second-year Doris Duke Conservation Scholars to guide and support the incoming cohort as they undergo their first year as DDCSP YSE Scholars. Five peer mentors are selected each summer through a competitive application system. Each peer mentor receives an additional stipend of $750 that is disbursed in three months during summer.
The main duties of DDCSP YSE peer mentors include the following:

Hold a one-on-one check-in meeting with each of the five assigned mentees

Design group activities with the mentees

Attend mentor trainings and meetings with the Program Staff

Organize the fourth of July celebration for all scholars

Organize the Game Night
